Let me be blunt, This Is Us is a little much. This show is a manipulative weep fest that wants me to be in a continuous state of tears throughout every episode. I simply will not be forced to cry every time Jack tells Rebecca she makes him feel like he is home. I do not cry, I just watch This Is Us and constantly think “Really? Is this us? I don’t think so.”
This Is Us: Really? is a humorous, non-traditional recap of what we learn from each episode. I will also give it a “Really?” rating, from 1-5, based on how unconvincing the episode was to me. A 1 “Really?” rating means nothing too far-fetched happened in the episode. A 5 “Really?” rating means that someone else has died at the hands of a faulty crock pot.
